Key Highlights of the Programme
Under this initiative, qualified applicants are entitled to:
- 50% rebate on domain registration or renewal fees
- Maximum rebate capped at RM60 per domain per year
- Eligibility for up to five (5) .MY domain names per individual
This programme is designed to encourage greater participation in the digital economy and ensure inclusivity for all Malaysians, especially the OKU community.
Who is Eligible?
To qualify for the OKU Benefits Programme, applicants must:
- Be a Malaysian citizen
- Hold a valid OKU Identification Card issued by JKM
- Be 18 years old and above
It is important to note that this benefit is strictly for individuals only and does not apply to businesses or organisations.
How the Rebate Works
The rebate is not automatically applied. Eligible users must follow these steps:
- Register or renew a .MY domain via MYNIC Accredited Registrars
- Submit a rebate claim form along with supporting documents
- Upon approval, the rebate will be credited (up to RM60 per domain)
Approved claims are typically processed and credited within 30 days.
Important Notes
- The rebate applies only to individual .MY domains (2LD)
- It is claim-based, not instant discount
- Not applicable for premium domains or bundled packages
- Claims must be submitted within one year from registration or renewal date
